Creating Better First Responders

Simple to use cloud based software that streamlines the training scenario workflow. Everything on a tablet in the palm of your hand.

Why TEN-8?

TEN-8 has a mission of

CREATING BETTER FIRST RESPONDERS

To get the most out of training your people whether they are recruits or in-service, you need tools to help optimize their training experience.

Saving time and improving training efficiency, TEN-8 eliminates the paper-based workflows that so many trainers spend hours a day struggling with.

Spend less time with cumbersome paper tasks and more time training, evaluating and giving valuable feedback.

TEN-8 is not an LMS, we focus on the workflow of creating, scheduling and evaluating scenario based training. We integrate with your LMS to produce a complete training record.

Save Time and Money

Choose scenarios from a large library of templates or modify to customize them to better meet your training objectives.

Simple Scheduling

Create, adjust and communicate schedules directly through the mobile application.

Evaluate in Real-Time

No more writing scratch notes, record video to be viewed at a later time and reinforce the training objectives. Dictate notes with voice to text during the scenario and provide on the spot feedback.

Lasting and Accessible Records

Follow the recruit from basic training through their career and reduce liability with detailed, searchable training records.

“We really need something better than what we have. In todays world we should not be trying to evaluate multiple recruits on pads of paper and sticky notes.”

— Chief Instructor, Ontario Police College

Permission based access, improves scenario based training for all users

Whether you are a trainer, a trainee an administrator or even an actor in scenario training, TEN-8 provides you with the right access to the right content and with the right permissions to allow you to get the most out of the training process.

The Trainer

The trainer has access to all areas of the application but editing content or schedules can be restricted if desired.

The trainer can add complexity or variability to the scenarios and can limit what the trainee sees in order to assess their ability to think on their feet.

They can create and schedule scenarios, evaluate recruits using video capture and voice-to-text and communicate with individual trainees or whole platoon all through one simple mobile device.

The Trainee

The trainee has access to their schedule, their platoon/group, scenario overviews, previous scenarios and all video and feedback.

They can review ahead of time and prepare for the upcoming training as well as review their performance after the completion of the scenario or in-service experience.

This direct involvement by the trainee and the feedback loop, creates the highest levels of engagement, learning and retention.

The Administrator

The administrator has full access to the entire back end of the application and can set all permissions required for every user.

They manage the master scenarios, master schedule and all details concerning the trainees.

They have the highest level of authorization.

The Scenario Actor

Regardless if the scenario actors are other trainers, volunteers or hired actors, it is critical that they fully understand the objectives of the scenario and more importantly the objectives of the trainers and what skills or competencies they are trying to teach.

By using the application on their mobile device, they can access all of the relevant information provided by the administrator and the trainer as well as view past scenarios that they have been involved in to enhance their ability to play realistic roles.

“TEN-8 can be incredibly valuable for the college. We train more than first responders at Holland from police, fire and EMS to corrections, forestry and border services. We can use this for all our scenario training needs. ”

— Chief Instructor, Holland College
